My mom is technologically challenged

My mom uses computers for her job as a retail manager. The most difficult situation she has encountered is the hiring system that her company has through the computer. They recently created a new system, and it is a lot more complicated than the previous version. Many people throughout the company are experiencing similar issues with this technology. It is more difficult, because there was hardly any training for the new system, and they had to learn it by themselves mostly. It is also hard for applicants to use the technology.

She also uses the computer for payroll and emails. The computer makes doing payroll a lot simpler, because it is automated, and it is a lot easier to figure out. She uses email to communicate with her bosses, instead of having to wait to talk to them on the phone or in person.

Since my mom has had to use the computer a lot work it has taught her a lot more about the computer. Before she had many questions about simple uses of the computer, but she is able to use it much more effectively now. Her employees also teach her new things about using the computer. This has transferred into her home use, and she is more knowledgable about it now.

She said another issue she encounters is having to call Data Advantage if there is a problem with their computers. This makes is more difficult to do business when the computers are down, because they don't have access to the technology that is supposed to help them.

Overall, though, she has found the computer to be very helpful in her job, and it makes doing business much easier. While she is often technologically challenged, having computers in her job has really taught her a lot more about using technology.
